About CueClique

A Mission to Never Miss a Moment

CueClique wasn't born in a boardroom. It was born from my family's desire to capture everything.

Meet Ryan

My name is Ryan, and I'm the founder of CueClique. But I've long held that my most important titles aren't 'Founder' or 'CEO,' but 'Dad' and 'Husband.' My life, like yours, is measured in fleeting moments: a child's spontaneous laugh, a quiet conversation between grandparents at a chaotic family gathering, or the way my wife smiles when she isn't looking.

As a family man, I became obsessed with capturing these 'in-between' moments. These are the candid shots that often go unnoticed, the ones that professional photographers, despite their talent, can sometimes miss. These are the photos that, 10 or 20 years from now, become priceless. A simple thank you card featuring a candid photo of a grandmother smiling, for example, is the kind of memory I value most.

The idea for CueClique came from this exact feeling a mix of joy and frustration. My wife and I found ourselves at a beautiful wedding, and weeks later, at a milestone family reunion. In both cases, the day ended, and the inevitable "post-event scramble" began.

We were texting friends to please send me those photos, hunting through multiple WhatsApp groups, and trying to find a video someone posted on Instagram. The few photos we recovered were grainy and compressed. The professional shots were beautiful but took weeks to arrive , leading to a common "post-wedding disappointment". We found ourselves obsessing over the moments we knew happened but that no one had captured the inside jokes, the crazy dance moves, the family group shots that were missed.

I realized the problem wasn't a lack of photos, the problem was friction and fragmentation. It was simply too difficult for guests to share , and the existing 'solutions' felt like more work. I knew there had to be a way to crowdsource the entire story of an event, capturing the 360-degree view  from everyone's perspective, without making it a chore. This is why I created CueClique, to be the perfect complement to any event  and to ensure that you, your family, and your friends never miss a moment.

An Event’s Memories: Everywhere and Nowhere

What I just described is a universal feeling of frustration. The core of my mission with CueClique is to solve these deep, specific pain points that I, and so many other hosts, couples, and event planners, face.

The "Post-Event Scramble" is Real

The party ends, the lights come up, and the 'photo-collection-mess' begins. You ask 150 guests for their photos. The result is often a disaster. Dozens of photos are immediately lost, compressed, and scattered across incompatible platforms. You're forced to save images from blurry WhatsApp groups , hunt down tagged-but-private Instagram stories , and beg relatives to email attachments. This is the fragmentation problem.

In an attempt to be organized, you might try 'easy' solutions that fail.

The Instagram Hashtag:

This approach is public, which is a significant privacy concern. It also misses the 50% of guests who aren't on Instagram, and it makes it impossible to download the photos in bulk.

The Shared Drive:

Creating a generic Dropbox or Google Photos link  results in an impersonal, clunky 'photo dump.' These platforms are not built for events  and are often a 'total nightmare to sort through'.

The Dedicated App:

This is the worst offender. You spend time setting it up, only to run into the single biggest hurdle: guests will not use it. Research shows 65% of guests refuse to download a new app for a one-time event. It is 'too much to ask'. And if you ask them to upload 'later' when they get home? It will never happen. 80% of guests who don't share at the event, won't share later. It simply feels like 'extra work'.

Why Hired Pros Can't Catch Everything

I want to be clear: CueClique exists in partnership with, not as a replacement for, professional event photographers. They are artists, essential for capturing the beautiful, high-stakes, polished moments. But even the best are physically limited.

The Photographer Gap

A team of two photographers is still only two people. As one wedding photography professional explained, when the bride is walking down the aisle, who does the photographer focus on? The bride, or the groom's emotional reaction? With one camera, they must miss one of those moments. They cannot be in two places at once.

The Photo Booth Gap

A photo booth is fun entertainment, but it is not a photo collection solution. I designed CueClique to be the 'modern photo booth alternative' for a reason.

  • A photo booth is static. It's one camera, in one corner. It cannot capture the real event.
  • It only captures a line of 2-5 people , who are distracted from the main event , often wearing props.
  • Many guests won't even participate.
